An exciting new international experience

The proposed new International Terminal will create a high quality experience for all travellers.

While the expansion and upgrade of the current international arrivals and departures area which was completed in 2015, has greatly improved the customer experience, it will not meet forecast demand or service level expectations beyond 2020.

The proposed new 20,500 square metre International Pier will include:

  • a new international departures area,
  • a greatly expanded retail offering,
  • new airline lounges with direct boarding onto aircraft, and 
  • new aerobridge-serviced aircraft parking positions suitable for wide-bodied aircraft.
