Heat & colour lust

A Thousand Lights From A Hundred Skies – Kyle Hughes-Odgers

The co-generation power plant located between Terminals 1 and 2, is now the canvas for a massive exterior artwork by local artist Kyle Hughes-Odgers.  The inspiration for A Thousand Lights From A Hundred Skies reflects the State’s colour palette, from fiery desert hues to soothing ocean blues.

“The opportunity to work on such a large scale public art project in a high traffic location, which is visible to an extremely diverse audience, provided an amazing canvas to push myself creatively. This project is extremely important to me, as a Western Australian artist, having the opportunity to work on such a large canvas at the gateway to the city.” – Kyle Hughes-Odgers
