Perth Airport welcomes Nexus Airlines

17 May, 2023
Perth Airport Acting CEO, Kate Holsgrove, has welcomed the announcement that Nexus Airlines will commence regional services at Perth Airport.

“Nexus Airlines will operate out of our regional terminal, T2, and will provide a new connection between Perth and Geraldton.

“I congratulate the Hon. Rita Saffioti MLA, Minister for Transport, Hon Roger Cook, Minister for Tourism and Nexus Airlines on this new initiative to expand the State’s Inter-Regional Flight Network.

Perth Airport forms a critical link to Western Australia’s regions, and we look forward to working with Nexus Airlines to further connect Perth and deliver more regional routes.”

Passengers of Nexus Airlines' Geraldton-Perth service will also have access to the State Government's popular Regional Airfare Zone Cap Scheme – which promotes travel for those living in regional WA.

The airline, which is owned by Aviair, will start operating services from July, however, is aiming to ultimately operate the service twice daily, Monday to Friday, as well as one service a day over the weekend from August.

The Perth-Geraldton route will be serviced by a Dash 8 —400 which seats up to 76 passengers and adds nearly 95,000 seats to the market each year.
